My Fuck Tomorrow Motto!

Been watching the BET special, "Hip Hop vs. America"(shouldn't it be the other way around, since Hip Hop is on trial), and I actually enjoyed it. Now, I'm against the entire BET infrastructure most of the time(word to Adrianne Curry), because of it's hypocrisy. One minute, they'll have a special on "Rap City" with Jeff Johnson and in the next minute, buffoonery on "106 & Park". But back to the special, it was pretty decent, especially my favorite comment from the "KING", T.I., "We gonna be out of business, pretty much, if we put a bunch of school teachers in suit jackets and long skirts in our videos. And BET say, what is this, we can't play this. Then what we gonna do?". My second favorite professor(Cornel West is my favorite), Michael Eric Dyson did his thing; that man has a way with words, describing Melyssa Ford as "ebony ecstasy in furled in coffee flesh". Nelly, even though he isn't the most intelligent or well-spoken person, did make some excellent points about a woman's choice to show off her butt in a music video. He said that people make choices and sacrifice to meet success. I have a greater respect for Nelly, because he stood his ground against those that consider themselves intellectuals, such as Stanley Crouch. My man, Jeff Johnson aka Cousin Jeff made an excellent point on societies views on women, such as the Christian church and the Civil Rights Movement. The thing I disliked the most about the special was Toure(I hate that guys whole aura), he is totally unnecessary to Hip Hop culture. Another thing I found strange about this special was it's timing, it talked about the misogyny, violence and vileness of Hip Hop music, yet the top selling Hip Hop albums this year have been Common, Talib Kweli, and Kanye West. Throughout the whole thing, Nelly kept bringing up the word "choice", which I have always said is the answer to any socially charged question. Author, Nelson George said, "Crime is as American as apple pie", which I agree with, since America stole this land(and apple pie too). Crime is a major part of Hip Hop culture, since Hip Hop culture was started in the crime laden South Bronx. So to actually understand the pathology of Gangster Rap, you have to understand the pathology of America, which was supposedly discovered by a criminal, Christopher Columbus. The only part that I didn't like about the whole special, was the segment about White people's view of Hip Hop culture. I could give a fuck about how White people see me(no offense to my cuzo, Jay), I could give a fuck about how anybody sees me. I feel that I, just like Hip Hop, am who I am, deal with me or don't, view me how you will, but I will not change. But during that segment, Rev. Al Sharpton made an excellent statement about Hip Hop and famous black people emulating White America. I don't really want to write about the entire special, so just watch it and enjoy my boy T.I..

On a personal note, I used the words nigga, bitch, hoe, etc. Your actions determine your label, we all judge, no matter how much we protest that we don't, we all judge. It's human nature to be prejudice, we all use terms towards other persons. If a woman is very promiscuous, we call her a slut. If a man is very unintelligent, we call him stupid. I use these terms, but I don't discriminate with my judgements. If a woman or a man has a bitchy attitude, she or he is a bitch. If a man or woman is promiscuous, he or she is a hoe. I think that the world is overly sensitive, call me what you want, at the end of the day, I'm still superior to you!

Just To Get By!

Its time for another installment in my ever going series "The Pussification of Modern Society". My last installment was about the "Cry-babies" for equal rights, the one before that was about modern mans obsession with beauty, before that was the weakness of today's youth, and prior to that was my views on hate and prejudices, and the first one was my main point of the pussification of modern society. So I've commented on the feminine ways of today's "Esquire" man (a category that I, myself fall into), I've talked about how parents coddle their children to the point of weakening their children's spirits as well as their bodies. I want to touch on the so-called patriots and how they have turned most of America into pussies. From politicians to news anchors to journalist, everyone is afraid to comment on the state of America. The only people brave enough to speak against the government are comedians (because nobody takes them serious anyway), activist (because nobody is listening to them anyway) and conspiracy theorist (because everybody thinks they're crazy). People are afraid to question the system, people are afraid to ask the right question, because they fear being called unpatriotic. America went from bra-burnings, protests, marches for civil rights, and civil disobedience to unwavering blind faith in incompetence. It's sort of like we live in a "1984" dystopian society, only difference is we, as a people and not fully the government, have made ourselves docile sheep following the dumb herd dog off of the cliff. Americans seem to forget that America was formed by people that questioned the government (because they wanted to get freaky without the British government being in the bedroom). It is the "American Way" to question the government. People used to fight for what they believed in, it seems like people are afraid to stand up for their beliefs today. With so much information in our hands, with the internet, television, books (I know that's something a lot of people don't use), etc, we should be smarter than we are. With all the information, the resources, the spas and the gyms, why are Americans the most obese in the world? Why are there so many recalls on products, and special safety regulations? My answer is that the world is being "pussified" more and more each and everyday. Once we all stop crying about discrimination, worrying about trends, coddling the children, and we start fighting for our future, we can put the power back in the hands of the people. Because if the pussification continues, we'll all be living in a society that resembles the movie "Idiocracy".

Only Built For Cuban Linx...

So I occasionally talk about revolution and issues of social injustice, but for this entry, I'm jumping on the other side of the debate. My view on civil rights and equal opportunity is simple, like the Declaration of Independence states, "all men are created equal" (even though when it was written, it was far from true). I believe that everybody should be treated as equal to everybody else, until they do something stupid that devalues their worth as a human being (a la George W. Bush). Now for me to jump to the other side of the argument, it seems that when a group of people are discriminated against, the federal government sets up some way to get that group equal treatment (which usually turns into preferential treatment). I don't have any problems with Native Americans, but they receive preferential treatment in the form of tax free reservations, casinos, and etcetera. I understand that the Caucasians came across the Atlantic Ocean and slaughtered most of the native people of this nation, but most of the "Native Americans" are using false birthrights to obtain government assistance and preferential treatment. Another group that receives, at times, a free ride are African Americans (a race in which I belong). My reason for this thought is Affirmative Action, which sets quotas for businesses, cause qualified persons to compete with less qualified individuals, on the sole purpose of filling the nations outrageous idea that discrimination can be destroyed. In this day, the government gives services to businesses that show a wide "diversity" in their office. African and Native Americans both have step ladders to help them climb to success. As for Disabled, Handi-capped, Damaged, Impaired persons receive aid from the government. They get special parking spots everywhere (most remain empty whenever I'm trying to Stop & Shop), the have special entrances (for which I understand, but I'll complain anyway), they have special items which are mandated by the government to be installed in businesses, as well as other special provisions. I have nothing against Impaired people (except that spot I could've parked in), I just think that these provisions make them not want to fend for themselves and live as a "normal" person (whatever normal is). I find it wrong that groups ask for equal treatment, and later follow up with extra provisions that make them unequal. I want Homosexuals to be able to get married (do what you like), but in exchange I don't want to see a Gay Pride Parade, a Gay club, a Gay group, or anything else that is specifically Gay (especially those thugged-out Harvey Milk High School kids). I want job interviews to be conducted with the facial and voice scrambling software that they use on America's Most Wanted, and applicants to be judged on their actual merits. I want Impaired, Disabled (somebody tell me the politically correct term for them) persons to be tested for their level of impairment (no idiots), and then I want them to try their best to walk, or roll, or hop from that parking spot in the back where I usually park. I want every child to ride a short bus, so that nobody is feeling inadequate (and pussified). People whine too much about equal rights, equal treatment, and equal opportunity, yet they take or ask for government handouts that actual make them unequal. Civil Right activists in the 50's through 70's wanted equal rights, not special provisions. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said he dreamed that man "will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Yet it seems that these so-called equal rights activist want to be judged not by their character but yet by their skin color, their religion, their sexual orientation, their impairment and so on. This has been another installment in my series on "The Pussification of Modern Society".

On a side note I want Mexican immigrants to be welcomed into the United States with open arms (The Statue of Liberty does say "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"). But first, I must address all foreigners, if your country is so much more beautiful than America, why are you here. If the women in your country are so much better, why are you here? If your country has the best beach in the world, why are you at Daytona? America, land of the free and home of the crybabies.

If sexy never left, why is everybody on my ....?

Today I sit contemplating which one of my dozen or so pairs of shoes I should wear with which one of my twenty or so pairs of pants. The fore mentioned statement wasn't meant to be a boast or brag of sorts, but rather the folly that leads me into my entry today. See, like many men in today's "Esquire" society, I try to keep up with the latest trends and popular styles. Through my spectacles I see the lost of "manliness", as it once existed. Facials, manicures, pedicures, spa days, Botox injections, muscle scoping (I'm looking at LL Cool J), etcetera, these treatments are all things that the male gender spends millions on annually. Some of these beauty treatments have been used by men for centuries, but in my opinion, have gotten a little out of hand. Let's approach the subject from an anthropological point of view. In ancient societies, kings and men of the noble order would preen and pamper themselves in the pursuit of beautification (even though it must be stated, most of these men weren't "manly"; I'm looking at Ancient Rome). The worth and nobility of a man was seen through his armor, his formal wear, or the adornments upon his attire. For a time in America, man was seen as just that, a man, defined by his ruggedness and his animalistic nature. During the age of dust storms and gun wielding horse riders, men were the masculine counterpart to the prim and prissy women of that period. Now onto today and why I say that man, as he were, is almost no more. I am a twenty-five year old, African American male, from Queens, NY, so I was virtually born into Hip-Hop culture, so that is where I'll direct my ire at that first. For years, the pupils of "The School Of Hard Knocks" have always maintained a somewhat basic uniform consisting of baggy jeans, a hoodie or tee-shirt, and sneakers or Timberland boots. But with the rise of today's Hip-Hop youth, the uniform has transformed into tight jeans (Jim Jones), young shirts (Lil Wayne), and Day-Glo sneakers (anyone that wears A Bathing Ape's). The style icons for Hip-Hop culture have seemed to have shifted from prison inmates to the residents of New York City's famed (and homosexually driven) Village. For the other people in my age bracket of twenty-five through thirty (who have given up on the near dead Hip-Hop culture) have also changed and shifted our sense of fashion. In the Eighties, fashion was a female driven industry. Designers crafted expensive items for their female consumers, men being delegated to shopping for function rather than fashion (unless they were gay, lived in Miami, or was a member of the Lo-Life's). In today's market, men are consumers of the same four hundred dollar jeans as women, designer shoes, hundred dollar shirts, and diamond encrusted jewelry (diamonds are a GIRLS best friend, not yours son). I too am a victim of today's "War against Manliness", I too get mani-pedi's, I too exfoliate and moisturize daily, I too seek the latest styles and hottest trends, and I too try to "preserve my sexy". My living room table has a stack of magazines with titles that read off, "GQ: Gentlemen's Quarterly", "Esquire", "Complex", "Details" and "Men's Vogue". But now I ask, with ruggedness and masculinity slowly being chipped away, chivalry being long dead, and the rise of the "Independent Women", what will happen to "man" in the future? The magazine "Esquire" is subtitled "Man at His Best", but at this current moment, is man actually at his best? Stop the pussification of man (go chop down a tree or something).

Momma, I made it!

I was walking by a playground the other day and I notice how different it was from the playgrounds of my childhood. There was a slab of rubber covering the entire playground. Every piece of equipment was made of molded plastic and had rubber bumpers covering sharp edges. I want to give you a tour of my childhood playground at my elementary school back in the eighties. As you walk into the playground, which is surrounded by ten foot chain link fences with a couple of holes in it (it's supposed to keep out the guy in the white van), you see three slides, a set of swings and a set of Seesaws. The first piece of equipment you see is the tall slide, it was the giant slide that all the brave kids would climb up to prove that they had balls. The slides back then had a completely vertical ladder full of slippery bars as rungs (when it rain, you'd slip and bust your chin on one of the rungs) that led to a slab of metal that was the slide. Now imagine a reflective piece of metal on a hot summer day and a bunch of kids wearing shorts. The greatest test of balls, was standing on top of the tall slide without holding on to anything. The slide I saw at the new playground was made of plastic and had rails to keep you inside of the slide. Underneath the exit ramp of the slide was a slab of rubber, unlike my old slide where there was a slab of concrete as you exited. The next apparatus was the swings, a metal contraption with metal seats hanging from it. You would get on the metal bench and your friend would push you as hard as they can and you would try to touch the sky. The brave souls would try to touch the sky while standing on the bench, then the idiot friend would dare you to jump from the bench to the solid concrete below from as high as you can. The swings I saw the other day were the same metal contraption, instead they had what they call safety seats. Safety seats are molded plastic with straps to keep the child in the seat. Under the swing was that same slab of rubber made from old tires. The swings even had locks on them to keep them from swinging to high, there is no more touching the sky. The next playground set was the Seesaws or Teeter Totter, a metal bar with metal benches hanging off of it. Back in my youth, everything was metal and nothing was wrapped with rubber for protection (that's how most of us got here). You would never walk too close to the Seesaw, because a dickhead kid would try to smack you with the seat part of the Seesaw. You would never make fun of the fat kid on the other end of the Seesaw or you would be in the air for the entire recess. But if you had the balls, you would stand up on the Seesaw, while your friends hold the other side down. They would let go and hopefully you would jump off in time not to get hit with the seat. Or the asshole kid would jump off while you were in the air and you would slam to the ground and hurt the family jewels. The Seesaw in today's playground was made of molded plastic or wood and it had safety features. It had a slow lowering mechanism to keep the family jewels safe from that asshole kid. It had locks to keep it from going too high. They even had a Seesaw that you could play on by yourself (what happened to leaving the kid with cooties to stand at the fence doing nothing). This is just part of the pussification of America's youth. My friend told me that the parents at his cousin's school protested against Dodge ball, because it was too dangerous. Dodge ball teaches children about the real world, and that if you don't move or work hard, the asshole boss or president will knock you the hell out with his ball, signifying rules or something. Then I was looking at toys and realized, every generation becomes more pussified than the last generation. The kids before me played with Lawn Darts, Big Wheels and Pet Rocks. During my youth we played with Slip And Slides, Power Wheels and Tonka trucks. The kids in these days play video games, Just think what the kids in the future will be playing with. In the future there may be no interaction between children, no crazy stunts, no overly masculine actions and no shows of machismo. It kind of reminds me of my boy Al's blog entry. Let's stop the pussification of America's youth. Buy a young boy a porno magazine, take a kid to a strip club for his eighteenth birthday, stop the pussification.

Natural Born Killers!

Why do people act surprised when they hear racism, sexism, ageism and other forms of discrimination? Do people actually believe that discrimination died? Is it a widely believed theory that after the civil rights movement, prejudices left the American mentality? My theory is that racist became better racist, they hate you when they are not around you. But if they are pushed to show their true self, they will release that inner hater (Kramer from Seinfeld for example, or Mel Gibson). It's only so long that a person can put on an act, they'll soon run out of politically correct script. I find equality quotas (such as Affirmative Action) racist as well. They give a job, loan, scholarship, etc. to a "token" minority because of a quota. This minority may or may not be qualified, they are usually just given that position to fill a quota. So when they ask your race on an application, leave it blank, they just want to fill that quota. I personally like up-front racism, if you don't like me because I'm black, tell me, I won't feel any animosity towards you, we can even be friends. I hate a person that says they're not racist, and when you ask how many black friends they have, they tell you "six". My rule is if you count your friends and divide them by race, you're racist. I couldn't tell you how many white, Puerto Rican, Dominican, etc. friends I have (I only have black friends, just kidding), I don't count my friends to maintain a quota. My friend Jay (#2 on my friend list) and I tried to get an apartment last year. The manager of the property kept asking Jay was he a Puerto Rican (he's Italian, if you really care). And since I wasn't present, he asked Jay what ethnicity I was (I'm black if you haven't seen my pics). The manager never returned our calls. See, I've faced racism and my "white" friend faced racism (because he thought he was a Puerto Rican). But I thought hate that manager, I respect him for not throwing out his beliefs for this "pussified" America, that cries whenever they're called a "nigger", a "spic", a "guinea, "wop", "sand monkey or nigger", a "wetback", a "frost-back", "chink", "gook", a "rice nigger". "buffalo nigger" (Filipinos, look it up), "spud niggers" (Irish, you can add nigger to anything), "dago", "heeb", "hymie", "taco nigger" (damn, nigger is so versatile), "beaner, etc.. hey, don't get mad at me, I didn't invent these terms (I just use them occasionally). The worse thing about racism is that people of certain ethnic groups use these terms amongst themselves like its okay. Black people call each other "nigga", supposedly the "a" ending is different than the "er" ending. Puerto Ricans refer to each other as "spic" when they are not in the company of outsiders (outsiders means white people). My Italian friend call each other "guinea", "wop", "dago", and "guido". I know Mexicans that call each other "wetback" and "beaner". When we disrespect each other by using these terms, we invite outsiders (white people, again) to use these terms. Hey, I use the term "nigga" more than probably anybody in the world (besides Michael Richards from Seinfeld or the late Strom Thurmond), even I am trying to curb my usage. We can't expect racism to disappear overnight (or ever), but when we use these terms in each other the racist are laughing at how stupid we look and how much more smarter we make them feel. I just ask if you're going to hate, hate for a good reason. Hate me because I stole your girlfriend, or I killed your cat, or I sent your son to die in Iraq for no apparent reason, or I made an album titled "Press Play" that makes you want to press stop (I missed hating Diddy). Hate is too strong an idea to be controlled by the weak-minded of society. Lets take the hate out of the hands of the trailer park trash, the project welfare recipients, the county bumpkins in the hills, the rednecks in the valleys, the family of twelve living in a two bedroom apartment, and put it back in the hands of Rock Diggie the great. Hate is good all the time, and all the time hate is good. Hate is very intoxicating, hate responsibly.

The Downfall of Society!!!!

I just stumbled upon something walking around my hood today. Gay people are getting younger and younger each day. I have nothing against homosexuals, I have something against lazy children. During my youth, if a young boy was just a little feminine, he was ridiculed everyday in school. It taught him to be a tougher gay man (a homo-thug, if you will). Not in these days and times when there is the Harvey Milk School in New York City (it's to teach homosexual children they are the same by treating them different). I must repeat, I have nothing against gay people, it's all about lazy children. This Halloween, I had trick or treater's walk up to my door without costumes. In my youth, even the poorest family in town made ghost out of old bed sheets. At first I refused to give candy to children without costumes, but then I realized it wasn't there fault at all. I blame the parents for everything that goes on in this world with their children. Parents sue the schools because their kid was getting bullied. Children are stuck to their mothers nipples well into their teenage years, and that sort of child rearing is deteriorating society. When homosexual kids gets teased in school, the parent should tell them to go to school and stand up for themselves, not move them to a special school. If the black people during the civil rights movement didn't fight for their rights, where would black people be today (we're right back where we started, but that I will get into later). How do people expect their children to clean up the mess that their parents made, when the children have been so "pussified". Yes, I said "pussified", decades ago, people were getting sprayed with high power hoses and mauled by dogs. The generation that has just became adults cry at paper cuts. We must stop the further "pussification" of our society. Teach your children to go out and be a bully (like Barbara Bush taught her children), teach them to stand up for themselves (without lawsuits), and teach them to be hard (not soft and damp, e.g. "pussified"). Back in the days, people hid anything that kept them from seeming weak. They lived a life in the view of the public that was directly opposite of their life at home. But nowadays, Republican Senators that bash gay people have been coming out as gay people (how ironic). People kept their stealing, philandering, sodomizing, pedophiliac, murdering, victimizing ideals that they practice at home where they belonged, at home. We can't all have open closets, where's the mystery in that. We need to all teach our children that its okay to fit into the status quo. Teach them its okay to stand for something as long as you're man enough to die for it (like those crazy Islamic extremist). Individuality is good sometimes, but most of the time individuality leaves you in the middle of the dance floor dancing by yourself. It's good sometimes to roll with that Grand Ol' Party (Tuesday November 7th isn't one of those times). If you're reading this and you agree, then you probably have a little secret you're hiding. If you're reading this and you don't agree, then your friends think that your a self righteous flaming queer or a Democrat. Either way, I don't care what your kids do (as long as they don't do it on my lawn), I don't care what you do and I damn sure don't care what you say. Like the saying goes, opinions are like assholes, some wipe from the front to the back, others are sick and disgusting!

Peace, I mean WAR!(Vote And Die! Diddy says so)
