In Search Of...

Everyday when I awaken from my sleep, I awaken to the realization that we as a people have lost ourselves. I'm not talking about a spiritual lost (cause I'm the biggest heathen in the world), or a cultural lost (is it that important to remember some of our ancestors were slave owners or murderers), no I realized we lost ourselves mentally. What the hell is wrong with us, we can't do anything that's remotely sane anymore. Why are people so concerned with the terrorist overseas, when there are plenty living right here. Or a better question, why worry about the Mexican border so much, when most the terrorist came across the Canadian border or lived here already. I mean, as a veteran (yeah right, I got kicked out) I know that the military is led by idiots, but these idiots got into these positions because of other idiots. Now ask yourself how did these idiots get into those positions, well they were elected by idiots. The idiots who elected them are old folks that are too senile to understand politics and young folks who get their political information from P. Diddy (Vote and Die!). Its not that we're a nation that born idiots, its that we are a nation that teaches our children to embrace idiocy. We teach our children that it's okay to be mediocre, it's okay to not have ambition, we teach our children not to excel. Even the media outlets have been drastically dumbed-down, I've resorted to getting my news from the BBC (I've realized British people are idiots, but not as asinine as us) and Comedy Central (Stephen Colbert is a genius). The youth of America have substituted pop figures as icons (if my cousin apes Lil' Wayne anymore, I'll kill someone). I know I'm not the most sophisticated person in the world, but as my mother often said "Do as I say, not as I do". Hopefully our children's children won't have to live through tragedies like 9-11, Katrina, the 2nd Iraq War, as well as another Bush Administration. Albert Einstein said "Only two things are infinite: the universe and stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe". Bill Cosby said "A word to the wise ain't necessary, it's the stupid ones that need the advice". A poet I admire (I don't idolize men, I am a genius myself) said "I make Big Pimpin' or Give It To Me, one of those, they held me as the greatest writer of the 21st century. I make some thought provoking shit, y'all question whether he's falling off." - Sir Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter. When you offer stupidity and idiocy, people will eat it, the truth is just a little tougher to swallow.

Peace, I mean WAR!
